Chapter Revitalization and Development Commission
The mission of the Virginia State Chapter Development and Revitalization Commission (CDRC) is to provide the education, training, guidance, and support to help our Virginia chapters grow in size and become and remain strong.
The CDRC members—the state organizing secretary (CDRC chair), the state vice regent (vice chair), the state registrar, and the state chairs for the Membership Committee, the State Training and Development Committee, the Junior Membership Committee, and the Volunteer Genealogists—can combine, coordinate, and target their efforts specifically for your chapter to help you attract new members, mentor members to strengthen their DAR skills and knowledge, and inspire all members to participate more fully in DAR activities.
The CDRC can help your chapter:
Attract new members
Retain your current members
Revitalize struggling chapters
Organize new chapters in underserved areas
Help train new officers and committee chairs
Involve all members in DAR activities
Is Your Chapter Sparkling?
Has your chapter taken the Chapter Annual Check-up recently? If not, consider taking it now. This survey provides information about how well your chapter is doing in the areas of membership, activities, and accomplishments. Taken annually, it can help your chapter measure its vitality and success. Depending on the outcome your chapter may wish to ask the CDRC (or a specific CDRC member) to attend an executive committee or chapter meeting to provide your chapter with training, membership engagement activities, and ways to revitalize your chapter. There is so much we can do together (see What We Can Do for You)!
Working singly or together with you in strategic plans specifically tailored to your chapter’s unique situation, CDRC members can develop and help you implement the changes needed for your chapter to reach its full potential, whether those changes are large or small. That’s your goal, and that’s our goal, too! Contact us at any time—we’re here for you.
